التفسير

أخذ الله ميثاق بني إسرائيل على توحيده، والإحسان إلى الوالدين وذي القربى واليتامى والمساكين، وحسن القول للناس، وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء الزكاة، فتولّى أكثرهم وأعرضوا. وأخذ عليهم ألا يسفكوا دماءهم ولا يُخرجوا أنفسهم من ديارهم، فأقرّوا وشهدوا. ثم نقضوا: يقتل بعضهم بعضاً، ويُخرجون فريقاً من ديارهم، ويظاهرون عليهم بالإثم والعدوان، فإذا جاءهم أسارى فادوهم، مع أن إخراجهم محرّم عليهم. أفتؤمنون ببعض الكتاب وتكفرون ببعض؟ جزاء من يفعل ذلك خزي في الدنيا، ويوم القيامة يُردّون إلى أشد العذاب، والله لا يغفل عما يعملون. أولئك اشتروا الحياة الدنيا بالآخرة، فلا يُخفّف عنهم العذاب ولا هم يُنصرون. ومن دروس الآيات: أن الميثاق يشمل التوحيد وحقوق الخلق والعبادات، وأن نقض العهد يجرّ الخزي، وأن الإيمان ببعض الدين دون بعض تناقضٌ مذموم، وأن من آثر الدنيا على الآخرة خسرهما.
